Having grown up surrounded by woodworkers and a great love for the outdoors, Bryce has combined her photographer with a unique mounting style that allows for a clean, minimalist approach. Shot through wide lens, her photographs are then mounted on wood and sealed with a technique that allows the print to be viewed without glass, barrier, or reflection. With this technique, Bryce's work invites you to view the artwork as if it were a natural window: open and immense, as though one were in that very environment. Her photographs open up into world a great space and wilderness; true West Coast serendipity stretching just beyond your fingertips.

Parker Art Salon: A Fine Art Exhibition

Now that the sun is out, what better way to enjoy Vancouver's fresh spring-summer season than visiting local artists in their studios? Next week you absolutely can, right along 1000 Parker Street!

Within its warehouse, 1000 Parker Street is home to 4 floors of artists and their studios. Collectively, there are 227 artists, designers, photographers and woodworkers creating in the same space, and for the weekend, you'll be able to visit them in person and experience their world!

When? Friday, May 5th from 7-10pm, Saturday and Sunday from noon-4pm.
Where? 1000 Praker Street

How much? For the Friday Night Soiree, tickets are $20 and the proceeds go to Anxiety BC. For Saturday and Sunday, visiting is free!

Open Call for Mural Artists!

From my travels from city to city, I have yet to happen across one that is as visually eclectic and colorful as Vancouver. I don't just mean the lush forests or the breathtaking mountains or the endless coast; but the splashes of illustrations on public building walls both old and new. No matter where you've traveled in this city, no doubt you would have come across them at some point - murals.
